- Qualified via proctored IQ tests in elementary school and during undergraduate
education.
- 99.75th Percentile; upper 0.25% of scores (165–179).
- The society welcomes people from every walk of life whose IQs are in the top 2% of the population. Mensa has three stated purposes: to identify and foster human intelligence for the benefit of humanity, to encourage research in the nature, characteristics and uses of intelligence, and to promote stimulating intellectual and social opportunities for its members. Founded in 1946.
Consume IQ results with many grains of salt. Intelligence is more than doing well on a battery of tests administered by educational psychologists.
