Here we are at the end of 2017 and the preparations are underway for the previously announced “big changes” for\u00a0The Autistic Me<\/strong><\/em>.<\/em><\/p>\n

Most obvious, the blog is moving. Okay, it has moved but the historical content has yet to be migrated. The full migration of posts will take me several weeks. My apologies for this, but moving the blog from Blogger<\/a> to our own servers with WordPress<\/a> was no small task. We’re actually migrating five blogs at the same time. The move was necessary to maintain both our traffic and our (small) ad revenues.<\/p>\n

We’re still researching podcasting<\/a> hosts. Our first choice was SoundCloud<\/a> because it is free. The problem is that SoundCloud is financially unstable. Then again, so is Twitter<\/a>. We might start with a free service and migrate to a paid podcasting host over time. Considering the painful experience of migrating the blogs, we’re not eager to migrate a podcast and its RSS feeds<\/a>.<\/p>\n

As it is 2 a.m. as I update this entry with the latest news, be certain that we are dedicated to maintaining and improving\u00a0The Autistic Me<\/strong><\/em>.\u00a0<\/em>This blog is not a mere hobby. It serves as a way to educate our audience and raise awareness for the issues relating to adults with autism and similar diagnoses. The autistic adults were once children, and the autistic children of today will be adults. We hope this blog continues to recognize the diversity within the autistic community.<\/p>\n
