Conquering Hope
Hope, the conquering little kitten who could do anything, knew she wanted to be part of our family. She dominates a room, with her sprite-like personality and bouncy energy. Despite having one eye and a damaged tail, she’s a happy, energetic, wonderful companion.

Foster Failure
Little Hope first arrived in our house as a foster kitty, along with her sister Charity. A few days later, Faith joined us. Faith, Hope, and Charity were found as part of a hoarding situation. They needed to be nursed back to health before they could be offered for adoption by the local humane society.
Hope had only one eye. The rescue team and vet don’t know what might have happened to her, but it was either at birth or during the first weeks of her life.
Faith and Charity were fuzzy black kittens, while Hope is a gray tabby. She was also smaller than her sisters.
Hope became a permanent family member on November 21, 2017, when Susan signed the adoption papers.
Another Challenge
Hope was often underfoot, and Scott tripped on her and stepped on the tip of her tail shortly after moving to Texas. In March 2022, Hope’s tail was injured (or re-injured). We don’t know what happened to cause the injury. Sadly, her tail never quite healed, and she resorted to biting it constantly. The tip had scarring and was inflamed. On June 21, 2022, she had surgery to amputate most of the tail, sadly. Even after her tail, Hope chases and bites her little stub.
